Our Lab presided over the redesign of a beautifully situated estate in the rolling hills of Dural. The brief was to replan the kitchen, dining area, and new bar to more comfortably accommodate family and houseguests whilst maximising views to the surrounding bushland.

Greater use of the outdoor entertaining area was to be encouraged by linking it closely with indoor spaces, and enclosing it in a way that could protect the residents from the cold and wind but still be open to the landscape. A covered barbeque space was also required by the pool for use during family gatherings.

Furthermore, the brief required a new underground spa area to be located underneath the house which would include a steam room and a spa bath where the clients could recuperate after a swim in the pool or a day at work.

Our Lab is responsible for the architectural design of this project.
